There is no master registry system that can be infected by viruses. Back in the day MS DOS was packet based like apple. But the government wanted a system where they could check up on their employees and american citizens. Bill Gates knew this was major bucks in government contracts, so the creation and implementation of the first big registry file, windows 95, and it went from there. Bill also had the best business software back then with word,excel, power point and access. Now there is free ware, open office org, basically does what the average joe needs it to, plus apple also came out with some killer apps. The playing table has been leveled and people are sick and tired of antivirus software. This leaves Apple on the winning edge the key to apples success is the operating systems.
